Working in conjunction with the Nationwide Foundation, South Norfolk and Broadland District, Saffron Housing Trust, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service & the St Giles Trust we have launched a new service to provide accommodation and dedicated support to women leaving Peterborough prison.

Referrals are taken directly from the prison resettlement team to enable us to assess and work with the women to plan their accommodation and support needs ready for release, to prevent them becoming homeless.

Quote from Carolyn Howell MBE CEO Solo Housing – “thanks to the significant contribution from our partners we have been able to launch this vital new service. Our plans are to provide 6 beds of accommodation with support in the coming months & to pilot an approach to help women leaving prison get back on their feet again, help them secure more permanent accommodation or to be reunited with family or other support networks”.
